Glassful
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 26 September 2026 Last updated: 26 September 2026
Glassful keeps your water log on your iPhone. There are no accounts and no ads. We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app, but never your water log or Health data. We don't sell data, and we never use your health data for marketing.
1. Who We Are
Glassful ("the app") is made by KeyToTech LTD ("we", "us"), 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. For any personal data described in this policy, we are the data controller. You can reach us at [email protected].
This policy covers the Glassful app for iPhone and the website at https://keytotech.com/glassful/privacy-policy. It explains what information the app handles, where it is stored, and the choices you have.
2. Information That Stays on Your Device
Glassful stores the following only on your iPhone, in the app's private storage. We cannot see it, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else.
| Information | Why the app uses it |
|---|---|
| Drinks you log (amount, date and time) | To fill the bottle, show today's progress and your history. |
| Daily goal, units, quick-add sizes | To match the app to how you drink. |
| Chosen bottle and other settings | To remember your preferences. |
| Reminder schedule | To show reminders at the times you choose. |
Reminders are scheduled by your iPhone as local notifications. No reminder data leaves your device, and you can turn reminders off in the app or in iPhone Settings.
Motion sensors. The bottle reacts to how you hold your phone. The app reads the phone's motion sensors in real time only to animate the water; these readings are never stored or transmitted.
Deleting it. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your iPhone. Your data is included in your iPhone's encrypted backups if you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.
3. Apple Health
If you allow it, Glassful connects to Apple Health (HealthKit). Access is off until you turn it on, and you can change it anytime in the Health app under Sharing → Apps → Glassful.
- Write: each drink you log in Glassful is saved to Health as a Water entry.
- Read: Glassful reads Water entries from Health so that drinks logged in other apps count toward your daily goal.
Our promises about Health data:
- It stays on your device and in Apple Health; we never receive it.
- We never sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising, marketing or data mining.
- We never store it in iCloud or on any server.
- We never write false or inaccurate data to Health; only drinks you log are saved.
When you remove Glassful's Health access, the app stops reading and writing. Entries already saved stay in Health until you delete them there.
4. Analytics, Purchases, Support and Our Website
Anonymous analytics. To learn which features people use and to fix crashes, the app sends anonymous usage data to Firebase / Google Analytics and Mixpanel, which process it for us in the United States and other countries where those providers operate.
- What is sent: events such as "app opened", "drink logged" or "bottle changed"; app version; device model; iOS version; language; country or region; crash reports. Analytics providers may use your IP address to infer approximate country or region.
- What is never sent: the amounts you drink, your goal or history, anything from Apple Health, your name or email, or your device's advertising identifier.
- How it is identified: by a random ID created by the app. It is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- Why: our legitimate interest in improving the app and keeping it stable.
- Your choice: turn it off anytime in Settings → Share Analytics.
- How long: kept for 14 months, then deleted or aggregated.
Purchases. Glassful Premium is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment; we never see your name, card or Apple Account details. The app checks with Apple, on your device, whether Premium is active. Apple's own privacy policy covers the purchase.
Subscription management. We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases. It receives a random app user ID, your purchase history and basic device information. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies.
Emails to support. If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use it only to reply and fix problems, relying on our legitimate interest in supporting our users. We delete support emails 12 months after the conversation ends. Our email provider stores these messages for us.
Website. Our website is hosted by DigitalOcean, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for up to 30 days for security. The website uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
5. Sharing and Selling
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. The only parties that handle any data are the service providers named in section 4, acting on our instructions. We may disclose information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order.
6. Retention and Security
Your water log stays on your device until you delete it or the app. Support emails and analytics data are kept as stated in section 4. Your iPhone protects the app's storage with its built-in encryption when the device is locked. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but keeping data on your device means there is no central database of user logs to breach.
7. Children
Glassful is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, for example by email, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom. Support emails and analytics data may be processed in the United Kingdom, the United States, and by our providers in the countries named in section 4. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Your Rights
Most of your data never reaches us, so you control it directly: view it in the app, change it in Health, or delete it by deleting the app.
For anything we do hold, such as support emails and analytics data, you have rights depending on where you live:
- EU, EEA and UK (GDPR / UK GDPR): access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, such as the ICO in the UK.
- California and other U.S. states with privacy laws: to know what we hold, to correct it and to delete it. We do not sell or share personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of. Because your water log and Health data stay on your device, we do not collect consumer health data.
Turning off Share Analytics stops analytics collection right away. Because analytics data is not linked to you, we may be unable to find past records for a specific person. To use any other right, email [email protected]. We answer within one month and will never treat you differently for asking.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change affects how we handle your data in a meaningful way, we will also tell you in the app before it takes effect.
